What if the past wasn’t over? What if, somewhere beneath the cobbled streets of Lincoln, the barriers between centuries were already cracking open?
On Saturday 20th June, Threshold invites you to find out. Lincolnshire History Askew is a free tabletop roleplaying event that drops you into a time vortex and sends you careering through Lincolnshire’s hidden histories.
Before you set off, you’ll pick your ability: Super Speed, Super Strength or Super Smarts. Each comes with its own unique skills that will shape how you navigate the challenges ahead. Choose wisely.
The vortex doesn’t pull you gently. You’ll land in four distinct moments across Lincolnshire’s history, each with its own stakes, its own mysteries and its own people who need your help.
In the present day, you’ll set the scene alongside two of Lincolnshire’s most iconic figures: the mischievous Lincoln Imp and the fierce reformer Anne Askew. Then it’s back to the 1990s, where Ralph Toofany needs your help to solve a mystery at a psychiatric ward. From there, you’ll travel deeper into the past to help Anne escape imprisonment in the 1800s, before landing in Roman Lincoln to stand alongside Septimius Severus as he races to build walls against an invasion from the North.
Can you help them all? Can you close the portals before time runs out and find your way back?
