Delivered in partnership with Visit Lincoln as part of the government’s Be Lincoln Town Deal Fund, the £1.45m programme explores how digital innovation can strengthen Lincoln’s identity as a connected, vibrant and inclusive city.
At the heart of Lincoln Connected is a bold creative commissioning programme, led by Threshold, that will see 12 new digital and site-specific installations delivered across three years. Each commission will connect visitors with Lincoln’s heritage, culture and everyday spaces, creating moments of discovery that enrich the city’s cultural landscape and contribute to its economic growth.
The project also includes the development of a Digital Roadmap for Lincoln, a pilot Light Night event, and new opportunities for collaboration between artists, technologists, and local communities — positioning Lincoln as a national example of how digital creativity can shape the places we live, work and visit.
“Threshold has been embedded in Lincoln’s creative community since 2010 through our biennial Frequency Festival. We’re proud to build on that legacy through Lincoln Connected — a project that celebrates the city’s unique identity while driving digital transformation for the future.”
— Samantha Lindley, CEO, Threshold
Lincoln Connected is funded by the Be Lincoln Town Deal Fund and delivered in partnership with Threshold, Visit Lincoln and the City of Lincoln Council.
