Samantha Lindley

Chief Executive & Creative Director

Samantha brings over 20 years experience across the cultural sector, with expertise in public art, place-based engagement, creative talent development, and digital commissioning and creation. As CEO of Threshold, she leads the organisation’s mission to harness creativity and local identity as tools for social change, championing inclusive practice, digital placemaking, and international commissions and partnerships.

Emily Dennison

Director of Operations, Brand & Impact

Emily has more than 25 years’ experience across the creative industries, with senior roles spanning film, communications, and cultural investment. From promoting and developing British film talent at international festivals to leading strategic brand development and communication campaigns Emily now steers Threshold’s operational growth, and plays a key role in shaping the organisation’s public presence and long-term impact, ensuring that every project reflects Threshold’s values and delivers meaningful experiences for communities across Lincolnshire and beyond. Her approach balances strategic vision with day-to-day delivery, supporting a resilient and ambitious future for the organisation.

Georgina Weller

Producer

Georgina is a skilled cultural producer with a background in community engagement, youth work, and socially engaged arts. Drawing on her wealth of experience in community development and MA in Youth Work & Community Development, she has delivered impactful, placemaking programmes across Lincolnshire for organisations including Zest Theatre, YMCA, and Imagineer Productions. At Threshold, Georgina leads on participatory projects that use arts and culture to empower communities and support our long-term placemaking strategies.

Ellis Hill

Marketing, Content & Audiences Manager

Ellis is an experienced creative marketing professional with a background in Digital PR, SEO, and brand storytelling. Ellis leads Threshold’s marketing strategy by amplifying our voice in digital placemaking, driving audience growth, and championing inclusive access to culture across Lincolnshire and beyond.

Tanya Akrofi

Community Producer

Tanya is a place-based storyteller using oral history and creative facilitation to surface hidden narratives and build connections. Her work supports Threshold’s commitment to community-led placemaking, using storytelling to foster belonging and long-term cultural impact. Her work ranges from live experiments in participatory decision-making to strengthening youth-led involvement in place-making and uncovering diversity in heritage.

Sara Venables

Executive Assistant

Sara provides dedicated administration support to Threshold, helping the team stay organised and focused on delivering their creative vision. With broad experience supporting clients across the creative, wellness, and small business sectors, she brings a calm, reliable, and proactive approach to everything she does. Passionate about helping others succeed, Sara enjoys being part of a team that uses creativity to make a positive impact in communities.

Our Board

Threshold’s board of non-executive Directors share a deep commitment to creativity, equity and community. With experience across the public, private, Higher Education and creative sectors they provide thoughtful guidance and strong leadership.

Professor Harriet Gross

Chair of the Board

Harriet is a Professor Emerita of Psychology at the at the University of Lincoln with extensive experience of senior leadership in higher education; well networked within and beyond social sciences; strategic and agile thinker; skills in Research, Lecturing, Science, Public Speaking, and Social Sciences.

Toni Allen FCIM

Non Executive Director

Toni is the Chief Engagement and Growth Officer at the Institute of Engineering and Technology. A CIM professional with extensive experience across arts, education, and health sectors. She brings strategic marketing insight and innovation to Threshold’s board, supporting our mission to grow sustainably within the creative industries.

Chris Baker

Non Executive Director

Chris is a Senior PR Consultant at Speed Communications with a track record in promoting creative industries and cultural events. A long-time supporter of Frequency Festival, he brings valuable knowledge of media, design, and technology in cultural communications.

Ben Petts

Non Executive Director

Ben is currently Charity Manager at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. With more than 12 years’ experience leading hybrid and remote teams in corporate, community, events and committed fundraising avenues, he helps shape Threshold’s work promoting placemaking for health and wellbeing.
